  1. In the swirl of all your doctors and nurses if you begin to feel lost try this for a laugh.

  2. In basic flight training each of us was to do a solo triangular cross-country flight. I drew the flight plan on a map - the long base leg was along the edge of the map. I followed all the little rivers and town in South Carolina until nothing matched.

  3. Then it dawned on me that I had “flown off the map.”

  4. Not much of the world has labels but railroad stations do!

  5. I checked out the little station for power lines, telephone lines and then got low enough to see under the eve of the station and joined the group waiting for the train, every one in town was out watching the plane below the rooftops.

  6. I got the name and fortunately there was a map in the plane of the land down under. So I circled and circled matching up the maps then finding the town. Then plotting the course home in my mind then off at full throttle, so I wouldn’t be late.

Keep up your spirits and have faith
