HARDWICK - John Miserak Stotesbury, 18, of Hardwick, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, in Hardwick.
He was born Oct. 10, 1985, in Morrisville, the son of John DewittField Miserak Sr. and Tracy Lynne Shepard.
He attended Hardwick public schools, Hazen Union, and was a student at the Lamoille Valley Vocational Center in Hyde Park.
During school vacations he assisted in Matthew Churchills’ electrical business in East Hardwick.
He was a member of the Hardwick Amateur Boxing Club and enjoyed four-wheeling, music, and spending time with his friend Casey.
He is survived by his mother, Tracy Shepard of Hudson, N.H.; his father, John D. Miserak Sr. of Cedar Grove, Tenn.; his stepfather, Kenneth Stotesbury of Hardwick; two sisters, Chandelle Shepard of East Hardwick and Shauna Shepard of Hardwick; maternal grandparents, Sandra and Howard Hamel of Alexandria, N.H.; paternal grandparents, Beatrice and Armand Gelinaeu of Hardwick; a special friend, Casey Thompson of Hardwick; a niece, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, Craig S. Shepard Jr. in 1992.
Visiting hours will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Northern Vermont Funeral Home in Hardwick. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 at the funeral home, with Alden Launer officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot in the Fairview Cemetery in Hardwick.

Northern Vermont Funeral Service in Hardwick is in charge of the arrangements.
